RIZN Safety
Your student's safety is a big deal to us. We think that the church should be the safest place, and so we are careful to have procedures and policies in place to protect minors.
To ensure that safety is kept a top priority we have a thorough onboarding process for all individuals interested in being a part of our RIZN Youth team. Our goal is to do everything we can to keep our students and leaders safe!
Our 7-step onboarding process is as follows:
- Completion of Next Steps/Waiting period
- Application
- All leaders are required to fill out an application for insurance and safety purposes as we are working with and serving children and their families.
- Reference check
- Police record and intervention check
- Online module training
- Training will be done specifically to the role leaders will play in the environment they will serve in. Safety, policies /procedures, and culture-specific training will also be done. All volunteers must complete Plan to Protect certification. For more information on Plan to Protect, visit here!
- Shadow/training shift
- Approval
Once someone completed all of these 7 steps they can be placed in a position of trust.
